What is TripleTherm®?

TripleTherm® is Dunster House Ltd.'s unique and innovative method of insulation. Designed in-house at the Bedford factory, TripleTherm® can be described as a "cabin within a cabin"; an external wall and an internal wall sandwich a layer of foil-backed polyurethane insulation. Unlike competitors' offerings, our TripleTherm® system involves a completely seperate floating internal cabin, not interlocked with the outer walls; this means that the structure is more stable, as timber absorbs moisture and expands and contracts, even when treated. A TripleTherm® cabin is therefore free to expand and contract – rival insulated cabins have the internal and external walls joined together, which means that as the external walls expand, they pull the internal walls with them, meaning that you will begin to see gaps in the internal walls. A TripleTherm® cabin will not do this.

Our insulation material, foil-backed polyurethane, is the best that money can buy for this purpose – and with an insulation layer that is 70mm thick as standard, it is even better. A TripleTherm® cabin comes with either 28mm internal and external walls (giving a total thickness of 130mm) or 45mm walls (giving a total thickness of 160mm). The insulation that you get from the polyurethane is better than what you get from timber (and certainly better than the empty space you get from rival companies, who will charge you extra for insulation of any kind!). Our TripleTherm® price includes both the timber and the 70mm thick foil-backed polyurethane that will keep you warm during winter and cool during summer.
