As the weather looks set to improve as summertime approaches, we all want to venture outdoors. Now is the time to think about getting your garden in shape and planting some beautiful flowers that will really brighten the place up in the coming months.

Summer bedding plants need to be planted in late May or June, when the danger of frost has passed.

African Marigold
A brightly coloured, yellow, orange or red fast growing plant.

Lobelia
Add an array of white, mauve, blue and pink to your garden. Popular for planting in containers or hanging baskets, the Lobelia likes the sun and moist, well drained soil.

Zinnia
With white, yellow, orange, red, pink, or purple flowers, these brightly coloured flowers are great for use in flower arrangements.

Busy Lizzie
A popular bedding plant for flower beds, containers, and hanging baskets. With white, pink, red, or violet flowers you can create a wonderful display of many different colours.

Petunia
A favourite summer bedding plant that likes well drained soil and a nice sunny spot. Create a colourful border around your garden with these white, pink, red, violet or blue flowers.
