Reasons to buy a Dunster House Clock Cabin

We use Double Glazed Toughened Glass and Domestic standard, NOT “shed-spec” unlike many of our competitors. Double Glazing provides improved heat and sound insulation and also helps reduce any unwanted outside noise. They are many benefits of having toughened safety glass, the main benefit is that if the glass is broken it breaks into small pieces without sharp edges and is therefore less hazardous.

Sculpted Georgian Bars are much more attractive than the traditional "sticks" typically used in the industry. The addition of Sculptured Georgian Bars adds character and charm to your cabin and your garden.

3 Faced Clock Tower This attractive feature comes with 3 clocks and attractive weatherproof shingles. The clocktower adds character and charm to your garden whilst still serving a very useful purpose. No excuses for getting carried away with the gardening and losing track of time because with 3 clocks your able to see the clock wherever you are, assuming of course you garden is of average size. The attractive weatherproof shingles are renowned for their beauty and insulation value they are high quality and long lasting.

70 mm Large Pressure treated Floor Bearers to reduce “ bounce” when walking. Pressure Treated floor bearers that sit underneath the log cabin to protect its foundations from damage by insects and fungal decay. Without pressure treated bearers moisture would damage the lower aspects of the cabin!

140 mm Heavy Duty roof joists unlike many of our competitors we use thicker wood for our purlins and roof joists which makes our cabins much stronger and more versatile. Thicker and stronger roof joists resists "sagging" from snow loading! Potentially extending the life of your cabin!!!

We DO NOT use FINGERJOINTED timber, we use full lengths. It costs us more but is stronger & looks nicer.Finger joining is where two off cuts of timber are glued/joined together, we don’t do this as the glue can cause a patchy finish when the cabin is treated.

Slow Grown Spruce We DO NOT mix timbertypes meaning treatment is consistentand not “stripey”. Cheaper “shed spec” cabins are normally made from Pine which is considered less attractive with more knots and sap.

Nails and Screws Included we want your experience with Dunster House to be easy and hassle free so for your convenience we have organized sourcing all the correct nails and screws so you don’t have to waste time and effort searching around for the right screws and nails; potentially buying the wrong ones and giving you a bit of a headache. Avoid lengthy trips to the DIY store and of course no extra expense.

19mm floor and roof boards. Stronger reduces “bounce” and warmer. The thick floorboards create a domestic feel and are up to 73% thicker than some competitors.

Our wall logs have longer tongues & deeper groovesfor better weathering. As the season’s change the timbers will expand and contract moving against each other, our extra long tongue and groove make it less likely for gaps to appear.

Weatherseals Gaskets are fitted to all windows and doors to improve weatherproofing The fitted weather gasket comes ready applied to the door and windows frames and gives better protection against water ingress than competitors “shed spec”cabins.

Secure Locking Doors to improved security. We supply a barrel cylinder lock similar to a domestic lock used in our homes and businesses. Not just a latch as you may get supplied on a “shed spec” cabin.

Low Threshold less to step over when entering or exiting your cabin. Easier accessibility for wheelchair users and the tripping hazard is also much reduced.
