2.5mm thick single chamber fluted polyboard (similar to fluted polycarbonate sheeting on conservatory roofs). This forms a thin insulated membrane under any roof finish. It also acts as a very rapid way of placing a weather protection over the boards. This will not be 100% waterproof as sometimes the material supplied will just cover the width of the roof area as dictated by the purlins/rafters. Polyboard sheets measure approximately 2500mm long x 1200mm wide with flutes running along the length.
Place the membrane on top of your roof boards, (arranging the insulation so that the flutes run up the roof), and trim to suit. Some long roof boards will require that the membrane is cut to suit the overall length of the boards. No extra nails are supplied with this material as it just needs to be held in position as you start to place the final finish material on the roof. Place the roof finish directly on top of the membrane and nail through.
