Make way (and room) for the Tamar^® 4 Grande XL! When it comes to this log cabin, spacious is an understatement. This cabin has tons of space to either, relax and unwind in or to party all night in. If you’re a bit of a party-goer why not make this your very own ‘night in, night out’ cabin. You can personalize it with your very own log bar, and then add sofa’s, a TV, pool table, table and chairs, absolutely anything you want for the perfect night in with friends and/or family.

This log cabin is manufactured using 45mm wall logs resulting in a sturdy structue. These thicker timbers mean a Log Cabin with greater insulation that sufficiently heated could provide space to accommodate guests.

The Tamar^® 400 Grande XL kit is supplied with 1 external french door and has 7 windows which will let a lot of natural light and ventilation into your cabin. This cabin is also Double Glazed

For your Log Cabin we recommend a solid concrete base to footprint size plus 100mm all the way round, for example:

• A Rhine^® 4m x 3m would need a base approximately 4200mm wide x 3200mm deep.
  
• For a Rhine^® 4m x 3m plus 1.5m decking the base would need to be approximately 4200mm wide x 4700mm deep.
  
• For a 9m x 3m Tamar^® Grande the base would need to be approximately 9200mm wide x 3200mm deep.
  
• These sizes are the minimum sized base needed for these particular cabins.
  

Standard Tamar® 4 Grande XL Specification:

EXTERNAL SIZE 13m (42'7") wide x 4m (13'1") deep (approx).

INTERNAL SIZE12.77m (42'1") wide x 3.77m (12'4") deep (wide end); 2.77m (9'1") deep (narrow end) (approx).

WALLS 45mm double Tongue & Groove walls.

FLOOR 19mm Tongue & Groove floor boards for a sturdy floor.

ROOF 19mm Tongue & Groove roof timbers to create a sturdy roof.

 

Note: We only use tongue and groove timbers for our floor and roof not OSB sheet timber! (We only use MFP board on top of roof insulation, which will usually not be seen as it will have a roof covering over it).

INTERNAL EAVES 2000mm (6'6") (approx) High.

CANOPY 1m (3'3") (approx.) deep canopy creating a porch area over the doors. Perfect for shade in the summer and cover from the elements in the winter.

FRENCH DOOR- Made with rebated door panels (for a more attractive appearance) and fitted with a secure lock, and sculpted Georgian bars. The French Door has a low threshold for better accessibility and less tripping! French Door is provided in 6 assembled pieces that fit together then slot into place.

7 WINDOWS Made with glass, not Perspex. We use glass as it is clearer and much easier to clean than clear plastic. They are also fitted with sculpted georgian bars.

DOUBLE GLAZING All windows and doors come Double Glazed

FLOOR BEARERS70mm x70mml Pressure Treated floor bearers that sit underneath the log cabin to protect its foundations from damage by insects and fungal decay. Without pressure treated bearers moisture would damage the lower aspects of the cabin!

ROOF BEAMS Heavy duty 140mm x 45mm to help prevent 'sagging'.

STORM PROTECTION BEAMS provided to secure the top wall section to the lower sections of the wall.

All wood is planed, pre-cut (with the exception of trims), and pre-notched for quick and easy construction. Click here to see how easy it is!

After simple assembly windows slot into place. Minor adjustments will have to be carried out on windows well within the scope of a competent DIYer.
