Log Cabins & Climbing Frames

The Avon^® 200 Teah is different from most cabins. Its unique T shape allows you to use the cabin for a number of purposes either individually or all at one time. Possible uses could include a home gym with spa area, office environment or even an entertainment room and bar area perfect for house parties. This EX-DISPLAY comes with 2 skylights, and is supplied in Light Oak treatment.

For your Log Cabin we recommend a solid concrete base to footprint size plus 100mm all the way round, for example:

• A 4m x 3m would need a base approximately 4200mm wide x 3200mm deep.
  
• For a 4m x 3m plus 1.5m decking the base would need to be approximately 4200mm wide x 4700mm deep.
  
• For a 9m x 3m the base would need to be approximately 9200mm wide x 3200mm deep.
  
• These sizes are the minimum sized base needed for these particular cabins.

EXTERNAL SIZE - 9m (29'6") wide x 5m (16'4") deep (approx) including extension.

INTERNAL SIZE for 28mm Cabin: 2.8m (9'2") wide x 4.8m (15'8") deep, Extension 1: 2.97m (9'9") wide x 2.97m (9'9") deep, Extension 2: 2.97m (9'9") wide x 2.97m (9'9") deep (approx).

WALLS - Tongue & Groove Walls.

FLOOR - 19mm Tongue & Groove floor boards for a sturdy floor.

ROOF - 19mm Tongue & Groove roof timbers to create a sturdy roof.

 

Note: We only use tongue and groove timbers for our floor and roof not OSB sheet timber! (We only use MFP board on top of roof insulation, which will usually not be seen as it will have a roof covering over it).

INTERNAL EAVES - 2040mm (6'8") (approx) High

CANOPY - 0.5m (1'6") (approx.) deep canopy creating a porch area over the doors. Perfect for shade in the summer and cover from the elements in the winter.

WIDE PREMIUM FRENCH DOORS Our French doors are wider than most competitors meaning you can walk through one door with ease. Made with rebated door panels (for a more attractive appearance) and fitted with a secure lock, and sculpted Georgian bars. The French Door has a low threshold for better accessibility and less tripping! French Door is provided in 6 assembled pieces that fit together then slot into place.

PREMIUMPLUS FRENCH DOORS (Optional Extra) - Our French doors are wider than most competitors meaning you can walk through one door with ease. Made with rebated door panels (for a more attractive appearance) and fitted with a secure lock, and sculpted Georgian bars.Multi-Point locking system (on the master door), and is of the same type supplied with modern domestic doors. Concealed Shoot-Bolts (on the slave door), which means the doors cannot be opened, even from the inside, until they are unlocked. The door has a low threshold for better accessibility and less tripping.

DIVIDING WALL- 1 28mm Dividing wall with solid door.

6 PREMIUM WINDOWS- made with glass, not Perspex and has sculpted Georgian bars. We use glass as it is clearer and much easier to clean than clear plastic.

6 PREMIUMPLUS WINDOWS (Optional Extra) - Units are fitted with 28mm Toughened Glass Double Glazing (4mm unit, 20mm space, 4mm unit), which is thicker than any other level of glazing available on the log cabin market and so more thermal efficient. PremiumPlus™ Windows are provided with a Multi-Point locking system, with mushroom headed espagnolette locks. (Please Note: Windows and Doors require on site glazing)

2 GLASS SKYLIGHTS DOUBLE GLAZED For added light and ventilation. Will need to be cut into the log cabin roof in your desired position, allowing you to place it wherever best suits your requirements.

GASKETS All windows and doors are fitted with Gaskets for improved weatherproofing.

FLOOR BEARERS 70mm tall Pressure Treated floor bearers that sit underneath the log cabin to protect its foundations from damage by insects and fungal decay. Without pressure treated bearers moisture would damage the lower aspects of the cabin!

ROOF BEAMS - Heavy duty 140mm x 45mm to help prevent 'sagging'.

All wood is planed, pre-cut (with the exception of trims), and pre-notched for quick and easy construction. Click here to see how easy it is!

After simple assembly windows slot into place. Minor adjustments will have to be carried out on windows well within the scope of a competent DIYer.
