Our Avon 4 Grande XL is unparalled in quality and design. The Dual wall acts as a protective shield against the harshest of elements, and goes without saying that 2 walls are better than 1, the use of our highly durable materials make this a very warm force to be reckoned with. The cabin is designed to be the ideal size for both leisure and comercial use, whether it be a large summer house to relax in or a quiet, comfortable and professional office to work and liase with clients in without the inconvenience and relatively high cost of building an extension, moving house or renting office space. Our standard designs will satisfy virtually any requirements and represent a combination of quality and value. All our cabins are manufactured from sustainable resources.


Designed to retain and reflect heat, with the highest quality insulation that's a bone-warming 50% better than polystyrene, the Dual Wall is King where cabin comfort's concerned. With 70mm of weather fighting, high density foil backed foam sheets sandwiched between its sturdy timber this modern solution will make you want to move in permanently.

Standard Avon 4 Grande XL Specification:

  • External Size - 3m (9'10") wide x 12m (39'5") deep (approx).
  • Internal Size - Room 1: 2.6m (8'6") wide x 3.6m (11'10") deep Room 2 and 3: 2.6m (8'6") wide x 3.87m (12'8") deep (approx).
  • 3 Rooms
  • 130mm Insulated Walls - The dual wall log cabin has a 28mm external wall and a 28mm internal wall with 70mm polyurethane insulation between them. The insulation is foil backed to reflect and retain heat.
  • Floor - 19mm tongue and groove floor boards for a sturdy floor.
  • Roof - 19mm tongue and groove roof timbers to create a sturdy roof.

Note: We only use tongue and groove timbers for our floor and roof not OSB sheet timber! (We only use MFP board on top of roof insulation, which will usually not be seen as it will have a roof covering over it).

  • Internal Eaves - 2050mm (6'7") (approx) High, the lowest point inside, giving plenty of interior space (this means you won't bang your head!)
  • Canopy - 1m (3'3") (approx.) deep canopy creating a porch area over the doors. Perfect for shade in the summer and cover from the elements in the winter.
  • French Doors (2 internal, 1 external) - Made with rebated door panels (for a more attractive appearance) and fitted with a secure lock. (Note: Door aesthetic may differ from that shown)
  • 2 Internal double doors - To be cut in at your desired position along the dividing wall.
  • 6 Windows - Made with glass, not Perspex. We use glass as it is clearer and much easier to clean than clear plastic. (Note: Window aesthetic may differ from that shown)
  • - DOUBLE GLAZING – Optional extra - * for improved Heat & Sound Insulation. ( see options below )
  • Floor Bearers - 70mm x 70mm Pressure treated floor bearers that sit underneath the log cabin to protect its foundations from damage by insects and fungal decay. Without pressure treated bearers moisture would damage the lower aspects of the cabin!
  • Roof Beams - Heavy duty 140mm x 45mm to prevent 'sagging'.
  • Storm Protection Beams provided to secure the top wall section to the lower sections of the wall.
  • All wood is planed, pre-cut (with the exception of trims), and pre-notched for quick and easy construction. Click here to see how easy it is!
  • After simple assembly windows slot into place. Minor adjustments will have to be carried out on windows well within the scope of a competent DIYer.
  • French Doors are provided in 6 assembled pieces that fit together then slot into place.
  • We supply you with all nails and screws needed for the assembly of your log cabin.
