For your Log Cabin we recommend a solid concrete base to footprint size plus 100mm all the way round, for example:

• A Rhine^® 4m x 3m would need a base approximately 4200mm wide x 3200mm deep.
  
• For a Rhine^® 4m x 3m plus 1.5m decking the base would need to be approximately 4200mm wide x 4700mm deep.
  
• For a 9m x 3m Tamar^® Grande the base would need to be approximately 9200mm wide x 3200mm deep.
  
• These sizes are the minimum sized base needed for these particular cabins.
  

Standard Xela™ Z 45mm Specification:

EXTERNAL SIZE - 2.5m (8'2") wide x 2.5m (8'2") deep (approx).

RIDGE HEIGHT - 2.5m or 2.6m. Please contact us prior to purchase if you want the 2.5m ridge height version.

INTERNAL SIZE - 2.27m (7'6") wide x 2.27m (7'6") deep (approx).

WALLS 45mm tongue and groove walls with bevelled notches for easy assembly and a better seal compared to straight cut notches.

FLOOR 19mm tongue and groove floor boards for a sturdy floor.

ROOF - 19mm tongue and groove roof timbers to create a sturdy roof.

 

Note: We only use tongue and groove timbers for our floor and roof not OSB sheet timber! (We only use MFP board on top of roof insulation, which will usually not be seen as it will have a roof covering over it).

INTERNAL EAVES- 2090mm (6'10") (approx) High, the lowest point inside, giving plenty of interior space (this means you won't bang your head!)

FRENCH DOOR Made with rebated door panels (for a more attractive appearance) and fitted with a secure lock and TOUGHENED GLASS, DOUBLE GLAZED. The French Door is provided in 6 assembled pieces that fit together then slot into place.

1 LARGE DOUBLE GLAZED WINDOWS Made with TOUGHENED glass, not Perspex. We use glass as it is clearer and much easier to clean than clear plastic. (Please Note: Windows and Doors require on site glazing)

FLOOR BEARERS - 70mm x 70mm pressure treated floor bearers that sit underneath the log cabin to protect its foundations from damage by insects and fungal decay. Without pressure treated bearers moisture would damage the lower aspects of the cabin!

ROOF BEAMS - Heavy duty 140mm x 45mm to prevent 'sagging'.

All wood is planed, pre-cut (with the exception of trims), and pre-notched for quick and easy construction. Click here to see how easy it is!

After simple assembly windows slot into place. Minor adjustments will have to be carried out on windows well within the scope of a competent DIYer.
