If you wish to use concrete, we recommend a solid concrete base of the cabin footprint size plus 100mm all the way round.

Note: We only use tongue and groove timbers for our floor and roof not OSB sheet timber! (We only use MFP board on top of roof insulation, which will usually not be seen as it will have a roof covering over it).

PREMIUM FRENCH DOOR - Extra tall doors for better accessibility. Opening size 6’6” and total door height is 6’11” probably the tallest doors on the market! Made with rebated door panels (for a more attractive appearance) and fitted with a secure lock and TOUGHENED GLASS, DOUBLE GLAZED.The door has a low threshold for better accessibility and less tripping! The French Door is provided in 6 assembled pieces that fit together then slot into place.

PREMIUMPLUS FRENCH DOOR (Optional Extra) - Extra tall doors for better accessibility. Opening size 6’6” and total door height is 6’11” probably the tallest doors on the market! Multi-Point locking system (on the master door), and is of the same type supplied with modern domestic doors. Concealed Shoot-Bolts (on the slave door), which means the doors cannot be opened, even from the inside, until they are unlocked. The door has a low threshold for better accessibility and less tripping.

GASKETS - All windows and doors are fitted with Gaskets for improved weatherproofing.

FLOOR BEARERS 70mm tall Pressure Treated floor bearers that sit underneath the log cabin to protect its foundations from damage by insects and fungal decay. Without pressure treated bearers moisture would damage the lower aspects of the cabin!

ROOF BEAMS - Heavy duty 140mm x 45mm to prevent 'sagging'.

All wood is planed, pre-cut (with the exception of trims), and pre-notched for quick and easy construction. Click here to see how easy it is!

After simple assembly windows slot into place. Minor adjustments will have to be carried out on windows well within the scope of a competent DIYer.
