The Avon^®Plus 300 is a beautifully crafted cabin designed to suit the most exquisite of tastes. Fresh air, extra space everyone needs their own special place. Its attractive natural wood appearance allows it to blend into any garden. It’s a fantastic feature, bursting with opportunities and has an array of uses. The Avon^® offers plenty of space, inside your could turn it into a wacky space station, butterfly sanctuary or maybe a zoo. Santa’s grotto or elf world, it’s completely up to you. If your not feeling quite as zany then perhaps a cosy homely winter retreat, summerhouse or garden office, the Hudson is here, whatever your needs.

For your Log Cabin we recommend a solid concrete base to footprint size plus 100mm all the way round, for example:

• A 4mx 3m would need a base approximately 4200mm wide x 3200mm deep.
  
• For a 4m x 3m plus 1.5m decking the base would need to be approximately 4200mm wide x 4700mm deep.
  
• For a 9m x 3m the base would need to be approximately 9200mm wide x 3200mm deep.
  
• These sizes are the minimum sized base needed for these particular cabins.

INTERNAL SIZE for 45mm - 2.77m (8'10") wide x 2.77m (8'10") deep (approx).

INTERNAL SIZE for 130mm - 2.6m (8'6") wide x 2.6m (8'6") deep (approx).

FLOOR 19mm Tongue & Groove floor boards for an attractive and sturdy floor.

FLOOR INSULATION 25mm foil backed polyurethane board that sits underneath the floor boards.

ROOF 19mm Tongue & Groove roof timbers to create a sturdy roof.

ROOF INSULATION made with 50mm polyurethane, goes on top of the roof boards to create a cabin with an over all roof thickness of approximately 80mm.

 

Note: We only use tongue and groove timbers for our floor and roof not OSB sheet timber! (We only use MFP board on top of roof insulation, which will usually not be seen as it will have a roof covering over it).

INTERNAL EAVES FRONT 2279mm (7'5") (approx) High

INTERNAL EAVES BACK 2079mm (6'9") (approx) High, the lowest point inside the cabin, giving plenty of interior space (this means you won't bang your head!)

PREMIUM FRENCH DOOR - Extra tall doors for better accessibility. Opening size 6’6” and total door height is 6’11” probably the tallest doors on the market! Made with rebated door panels (for a more attractive appearance) and fitted with a secure lock and TOUGHENED GLASS, DOUBLE GLAZED.The door has a low threshold for better accessibility and less tripping! The French Door is provided in 6 assembled pieces that fit together then slot into place.

PREMIUMPLUS FRENCH DOORS (Optional Extra) - Extra tall doors for better accessibility. Opening size 6’6” and total door height is 6’11” probably the tallest doors on the market! Multi-Point locking system (on the master door), and is of the same type supplied with modern domestic doors. Concealed Shoot-Bolts (on the slave door), which means the doors cannot be opened, even from the inside, until they are unlocked. The door has a low threshold for better accessibility and less tripping.

1 PREMIUM OPENING WINDOW - Made with DOUBLE GLAZED, TOUGHENED GLASS, not Perspex. We use glass as it is clearer and much easier to clean than clear plastic. The window is also fitted with sulpted Georgian bars.

1 PREMIUMPLUS OPENING WINDOW (Optional Extra) - Units are fitted with 28mm Toughened Glass Double Glazing (4mm unit, 20mm space, 4mm unit), which is thicker than any other level of glazing available on the log cabin market and so more thermal efficient. PremiumPlus™ Windows are provided with a Multi-Point locking system, with mushroom headed espagnolette locks. (Please Note: Windows and Doors require on site glazing)

GASKETS - All windows and doors are fitted with Gaskets for improved weatherproofing.

TOUGHENED DOUBLE GLAZING 14mm sealed units are supplied for you to place in the window and doors. (onsite glazing required)

FLOOR BEARERS FLOOR BEARERS 70mm tall Pressure Treated floor bearers that sit underneath the log cabin to protect its foundations from damage by insects and fungal decay. Without pressure treated bearers moisture would damage the lower aspects of the cabin!

GLASS SKYLIGHT DOUBLE GLAZED For added light and ventilation. Will need to be cut into the log cabin roof in your desired position, allowing you to place it wherever best suits your requirements.

ROOF BEAMS Heavy duty 140mm x 45mm to prevent 'sagging'.

All wood is planed, pre-cut (with the exception of trims), and pre-notched for quick and easy assembly. Click here to see how easy it is!

After simple assembly windows slot into place. Minor adjustments will have to be carried out on windows well within the scope of a competent DIYer.
