At approximately 3m x 3m, the Avon^® 3 28 Vantage Log Cabin is the ideal size to suit most gardens. The shutters on the doors and window add privacy to your cabin making it the ideal place for use as a spa room or relaxing hideaway where you can block out the outside world and just relax in the comfort and privacy of your own garden. The Avon^® 3 28 Vantage is perfect for use as a summer house, office, playroom or den.

The Avon^® 3 28 Vantage Log Cabin Kit is supplied with a French Door and an opening window both complete with shutters to provide you with added privacy. All shutters are located on the inside of the cabin as the window and doors open outwards. The cabin also features a decorative flower box under the window. Additional windows and doors are available to create a brighter log cabin with added ventilation.

Add the optional 1.5m decking to give you the perfect space for relaxing outside your log cabin in the sun or under the shade of its canopy.

For your Log Cabin we recommend a solid concrete base to footprint size plus 100mm all the way round, for example:

• A Rhine^® 4m x 3m would need a base approximately 4200mm wide x 3200mm deep.
  
• For a Rhine^® 4m x 3m plus 1.5m decking the base would need to be approximately 4200mm wide x 4700mm deep.
  
• For a 9m x 3m Tamar^® Grande the base would need to be approximately 9200mm wide x 3200mm deep.
  
• These sizes are the minimum sized base needed for these particular cabins.
  

Standard Avon® 3 28 Vantage Specification:

EXTERNAL SIZE -3m (9'10") wide x 3m (9'10") deep (approx).

RIDGE HEIGHT - 2.5m or 2.6m. Cabin can be assembled to accommodate both heights.

INTERNAL SIZE - 2.8m (9'2") wide x 2.8m (9'2") deep (approx).

WALLS -28mm tongue and groove walls with bevelled notches for easy assembly and an attractive finish.

FLOOR -19mm tongue and groove flooring for a sturdy attractive floor.

ROOF -19mm tongue and groove roof boards to create a sturdy roof with an attractive ceiling.

 

Note: We only use tongue and groove timbers for our floor and roof not OSB sheet timber! (We only use MFP board on top of roof insulation, which will usually not be seen as it will have a roof covering over it).

INTERNAL EAVES - 2010mm (6'6") (approx.) High when assembled at the Taller Height and 1900mm (6'2") (approx) when assembled at the Lower Height. These measurements are the lowest point inside the cabin, giving plenty of interior space (this means you won't bang your head!)

CANOPY -1.1m (3'6") (approx.) deep canopy that adds an element of shade and shelter.

FRENCH DOOR - Made with rebated door panels (for a more attractive appearance) and fitted with a secure lock. The French Door is provided as 6 assembled pieces that fit together then slot into place.

DOOR SHUTTERS add privacy when closed and fold so that they take up less space when opening. As doors open outwards the shutters are fitted to the inside of the cabin.

WINDOW- 1 - Made with glass, not Perspex. We use glass as it is clearer and much easier to clean than clear plastic.

DOUBLE GLAZING -Optional extra - * for improved Heat & Sound Insulation. ( see options below )

WINDOW SHUTTERS - Add an element of privacy to your log cabin. Shutters are fitted to the inside of the cabin as the window opens outwards. (Please Note: Shutters do not fully fold back).

FLOWER BOX

FLOOR BEARERS - 70mm x 70mm Pressure treated floor bearers that sit under the log cabin to protect its foundations from damage by insects and fungal decay. Moisture would damage the lower aspects of the cabin if the bearers were not pressure treated!

ROOF BEAMS -Heavy duty 140mm x 45mm to prevent 'sagging'.

All wood is planed, pre-cut (with the exception of trims), and pre-notched for easy assembly. Click here to see how easy it is!

After simple assembly windows slot into place. Minor adjustments will have to be carried out on windows well within the scope of a competent DIYer.

All nails and screws needed for the erection of your log cabin are supplied.
