The Avon^® 3 28 Vantage+ is the perfect sized log cabin to fit in most gardens. The roof and floor insulation and double glazing give added insulation to your log cabin to create a cosy atmosphere that together with the window and door shutters, makes the ideal summerhouse or quiet retreat.

The Avon^® 3 28 Vantage+ Log Cabin Kit is supplied with a French Door and an opening window both complete with shutters to provide you with added privacy. All shutters are fitted to the interior of the log cabin as the window and doors open outwards. Double glazed units are supplied to be fitted into the windows and doors of your log cabin for added insulation. The cabin also features a decorative flower box under the window, and is supplied with roof and floor insulation.

With the optional 1.5mm decking you can create the ideal space out the front of your log cabin for resting out in the sun or under the shade of the log cabin canopy.

For your Log Cabin we recommend a solid concrete base to footprint size plus 100mm all the way round, for example:

• A Rhine^® 4m x 3m would need a base approximately 4200mm wide x 3200mm deep.
  
• For a Rhine^® 4m x 3m plus 1.5m decking the base would need to be approximately 4200mm wide x 4700mm deep.
  
• For a 9m x 3m Tamar^® Grande the base would need to be approximately 9200mm wide x 3200mm deep.
  
• These sizes are the minimum sized base needed for these particular cabins.
  

Standard Avon® 3 28 Vantage+ Specification:

EXTERNAL SIZE 3m (9'10") wide x 3m (9'10") deep (approx).

RIDGE HEIGHT - 2.5m or 2.6m. Cabin can be assembled to accommodate both heights.

INTERNAL SIZE 2.8m (9'2") wide x 2.8m (9'2") deep (approx).

WALLS 28mm tongue and groove walls with bevelled notches for easy assembly and chamfered ends for an attractive finish.

FLOOR 19mm tongue and groove floor boards to create a sturdy and attractive floor.

FLOOR INSULATION 25mm foil backed polyurethane board that sits under the floor boards.

ROOF 19mm tongue and groove roof boards for a sturdy roof with an attractive ceiling.

ROOF INSULATION -made with 50mm polyurethane, goes on top of roof boards to give your log cabin an overall roof thickness of approximately 80mm.

 

Note: We only use tongue and groove timbers for our floor and roof not OSB sheet timber! (We only use MFP board on top of roof insulation, which will usually not be seen as it will have a roof covering over it).

INTERNAL EAVES 2010mm (6'6") (approx) High when assembled at the Taller Height and 1900mm (6'2") (approx) when assembled at the Lower Height. These measurements are the lowest point inside the cabin, giving plenty of interior space (this means you won't bang your head!)

CANOPY 1.1m (3'6") (approx.) deep canopy that provides some shelter and shade at the front of your log cabin.

FRENCH DOOR Made with rebated door panels (for a more attractive appearance) and fitted with a secure lock.

WINDOW- 1 - Made with glass, not Perspex. We use glass because it is clearer and a lot easier to clean than clear plastic.

DOOR SHUTTERS add privacy when closed and fold so that they take up less space when opening. As doors open outwards the shutters are fitted to the inside of the cabin.

WINDOW SHUTTERS - Add an element of privacy to your log cabin. Shutters are fitted to the inside of the cabin as the window opens outwards. (Please Note: Shutters do not fully fold back).

TOUGHENED DOUBLE GLAZING 14mm sealed units supplied, to be fitted into window and doors, (Please Note: onsite glazing required).

FLOWER BOX enables you to add a decorative finishing touch.

FLOOR BEARERS 70mm x 70mm Pressure treated floor bearers that sit under the log cabin to protect the lower aspects from fungal decay and damage by insects or moisture.

ROOF BEAMS Heavy duty 140mm x 45mm to prevent 'sagging'.

All wood is planed, pre-cut (with the exception of trims), and pre-notched for easy assembly. Click here to see how easy it is!

After simple assembly windows slot into place. Minor adjustments will have to be carried out on windows well within the scope of a competent DIYer.
