The Avon 4 45 Vantage+ has window and door shutters for added privacy, double glazed units for windows and doors, roof and floor insulation, a french door for easy access, two opening windows for light and ventilation, and decorative flower boxes.

Take a look at the story of how our log cabins are manufactured. For your Log Cabin we recommend a solid concrete base to footprint size plus 100mm all the way round, for example:

• A Rhine 4m x 3m would need a base approximately 4200mm wide x 3200mm deep.
  
• For a Rhine 4m x 3m plus 1.5m veranda the base would need to be approximately 4200mm wide x 4700mm deep.
  
• For a 9m x 3m Tamar Grande the base would need to be approximately 9200mm wide x 3200mm deep.
  
• These sizes are the minimum sized base needed for these particular cabins.
  

Standard Avon 4 45 Vantage+ Specification:

EXTERNAL SIZE 3m (9'10") wide x 4m (13'2") deep (approx).

INTERNAL SIZE 2.77m (9'1") wide x 3.77m (12'5") deep (approx).

WALLS 45mm double tongue and groove walls with bevelled notches for easy assembly and chamfered ends for an attractive finish.

FLOOR 19mm tongue and groove floor boards to create a sturdy and attractive floor.

FLOOR INSULATION 25mm foil backed polyurethane board that sits under the floor boards.

ROOF 19mm tongue and groove roof boards for a sturdy roof with an attractive ceiling.

ROOF INSULATION made with 50mm polyurethane, goes on top of roof boards to give your log cabin an overall roof thickness of approximately 80mm.

 

Note: We only use tongue and groove timbers for our floor and roof not OSB sheet timber! (We only use MFP board on top of roof insulation, which will usually not be seen as it will have a roof covering over it).

INTERNAL EAVES 2010mm (6'6") (approx) High, the lowest point inside, giving plenty of interior space (and you don't have to worry about knocking your head!)

CANOPY 1.1m (3'6") (approx.) deep canopy that provides some shelter and shade at the front of your log cabin.

FRENCH DOOR Made with rebated door panels (for a more attractive appearance) and fitted with a secure lock.

DOOR SHUTTERS add privacy when closed and fold so that they take up less space when opening. Doors open outwards so the shutters are fitted to the inside of the cabin.

WINDOWS 2 - Made with glass, not Perspex. We use glass as it is clearer and much easier to clean than clear plastic.

WINDOW SHUTTERS Add an element of privacy to your log cabin. As the windows open outwards, shutters are fitted to the inside of the log cabin. (Please Note: Shutters do not fully fold back)

TOUGHENED DOUBLE GLAZED 14mm sealed units supplied, to be fitted into window and doors, (Please Note: onsite glazing required).

FLOWER BOX enables you to add a decorative finishing touch.

FLOOR BEARERS 70mm x 70mm Pressure treated floor bearers that sit under the log cabin to protect the lower aspects from fungal decay and damage by insects or moisture.

ROOF BEAMS Heavy duty 140mm x 45mm to prevent 'sagging'.

All wood is planed, pre-cut (with the exception of trims), and pre-notched for easy assembly. Click here to see how easy it is!

After simple assembly windows slot into place. Minor adjustments will have to be carried out on windows well within the scope of a competent DIYer.
