The Vanguard™ 1300 Guest Lodge makes the perfect sleeping quarters. Perfect if you have family staying round but don't have the space inside your home to accommodate them, or if your kids want a sleepover and you don't want to be disrupted then the lodge is an ideal getaway. It's fully insulated to keep you warm and cosy and has a handy Toilet Cubicle meaning you won't get disturbed in the middle of the night with your kids, friends or family coming into the house to use the toilet. It also has 10 Opening windows, French doors and 2 Side Panel windows allowing in plenty of natural sunlight, the extra feature of the two side panel windows make an attractive feature of the lodge.

Our guest lodges are temporary structures designed for occasional accommodation.

The Plug and Play Toilet removes the hassle of plumbing of a flushing toilet as there is no need to arrange new sewer access. It gives you the flexibility to place the lodge wherever you wish in your garden as this is a no plumbing solution. It's also going to save you the time and money you would spend on getting someone to install a flushing toilet. It's just as easy to use and as clean as a caravan toilet is and is a convenient alternative to having to go up to the house to use the toilet.

The TripleTherm^® Walls are designed to retain and reflect heat, with the highest quality insulation that's a bone-warming 50% better than polystyrene. It’s easy to see why two walls are better than one and the use of highly durable materials make this a very warm force to be reckoned with.

RIDGE HEIGHT 2965mm (9'8") (approx) The highest point outside the cabin.

INTERNAL SIZE 5.44m (17'10") wide x 12.54m (41'1") deep (approx). (Please note that the rooms are divided by minor dividers and apexes.)

160mm INSULATED WALLS The TripleTherm^® Walls log cabin has a 45mm external wall and a 45mm internal wall with 70mm polyurethane insulation between them. The insulation is foil backed to reflect and retain heat.

FLOOR 19mm Tongue & Groove floor boards for a sturdy floor.

FLOOR INSULATION 25mm foil backed polyurethane board that sits underneath the floor boards.

ROOF 19mm Tongue & Groove roof timbers to create a sturdy roof and attractive ceiling.

ROOF INSULATION made with 50mm polyurethane, goes on top of the roof boards to create a lodge with an over all roof thickness of approximately 80mm.

 

Note: We only use tongue and groove timbers for our floor and roof not OSB sheet timber! (We only use MFP board on top of roof insulation, which will usually not be seen as it will have a roof covering over it).

CANOPY 1.1m (3'6") (approx.) deep canopy ideal for providing shade from the sun and shelter from the rain.

PREMIUM FRENCH DOOR - Extra tall doors for better accessibility. Opening size 6’6” and total door height is 6’11” probably the tallest doors on the market! The door has a low threshold for better accessibility and less tripping! Made with rebated door panels (for a more attractive appearance) and fitted with a secure lock and TOUGHENED GLASS. DOUBLE GLAZING. The French Door is provided in 6 assembled pieces that fit together then slot into place.

PREMIUMPLUS FRENCH DOORS (Optional Extra) - Extra tall doors for better accessibility. Opening size 6’6” and total door height is 6’11” probably the tallest doors on the market! Multi-Point locking system (on the master door), and is of the same type supplied with modern domestic doors. Concealed Shoot-Bolts (on the slave door), which means the doors cannot be opened, even from the inside, until they are unlocked. The door has a low threshold for better accessibility and less tripping.

10 PREMIUM OPENING WINDOWS - Made with glass, not Perspex. We use glass as it is clearer and much easier to clean without scratching. Made with TOUGHENED GLASS, DOUBLE GLAZING. They are also fitted with sculpted georgian bars.

10 PREMIUMPLUS OPENING WINDOWS (Optional Extra) - Units are fitted with 28mm Toughened Glass Double Glazing (4mm unit, 20mm space, 4mm unit), which is thicker than any other level of glazing available on the log cabin market and so more thermal efficient. PremiumPlus™ Windows are provided with a Multi-Point locking system, with mushroom headed espagnolette locks. (Please Note: Windows and Doors require on site glazing)

1 OBSCURE WINDOW- This window is for the toilet cubicle. It's Made with OBSCURE TOUGHENED GLASS, DOUBLE GLAZING, not Perspex. We use glass as it is clearer and much easier to clean than clear plastic. This window gives you privacy and is fitted with sculpted georgian bars.

2 GLASS SIDE PANELS either side of the French doors. Made with TOUGHENED GLASS, DOUBLE GLAZING.

GASKETS - All windows and doors are fitted with Gaskets for improved weatherproofing.

TOUGHENED DOUBLE GLAZING 14mm sealed units are supplied for you to place in the window and doors. (onsite glazing required)

STORAGE - Not only does this Toilet area house a handy 'no plumbing needed' toilet, it's also great for storing things on top of such as spare blankets or pillows, or toilet cleaning products.

DIVIDING WALL The Vanguard Guest lodge comes with 7 dividing walls which split the lodge up into rooms. There are 3 solid walls and 4 walls with single solid doors.

FLOOR BEARERS 70mm tall Pressure Treated floor bearers that sit underneath the log cabin to protect its foundations from damage by insects and fungal decay. Without pressure treated bearers moisture would damage the lower aspects of the cabin!

ROOF BEAMS Heavy duty 140mm x 45mm to help prevent 'sagging'.

All wood is planed, pre-cut (with the exception of trims), and pre-notched for quick and easy construction. Click here to see how easy it is!

After simple assembly windows slot into place. Minor adjustments will have to be carried out on windows well within the scope of a competent DIYer.
