The Avon 5 is a wonderful workshop. It also makes a fabulous fishing lodge. If you're looking for a stunning studio, handy hobby room or perfect play den then the Avon 5 provides sturdy walls, plenty of space and an altogether admirable presence in your garden. So for the partner who has everything or a child who's getting a bit awkward, what better token of understanding than peace perfect peace wrapped up with a bow?

The Avon 5 comes as standard with three opening windows and a lockable french door.

Take a look at the story of how our log cabins are manufactured.

Standard Avon 5 28 Specification:

  • External Size - 3m (9'10") wide x 5m (16'5") deep (approx).
  • Internal Size - 2.8m (9'2") wide x 4.8m (15'9") deep (approx).
  • Walls - 28mm tongue and groove walls with bevelled notches for easy assembly and a better seal compared to straight cut notches.
  • Floor - 19mm tongue and groove floor boards for a sturdy floor.
  • Roof - 19mm tongue and groove roof timbers to create a sturdy roof.
we don't use OSB sheet timber tongue and groove rooftongue and groove floor

 

Note: We only use tongue and groove timbers for our floor and roof not OSB sheet timber! (We only use MFP board on top of roof insulation, which will usually not be seen as it will have a roof covering over it).

  • Internal Eaves - 2010mm (6'6") (approx) High, the lowest point inside, giving plenty of interior space (this means you won't bang your head!)
  • Canopy - 1.1m (3'6") (approx.) deep canopy to create an area of shade and shelter outside the front of yor log cabin.
  • French Door - Made with rebated door panels (for a more attractive appearance) and fitted with a secure lock.
  • 3 Windows - Made with glass, not Perspex. We use glass as it is clearer and much easier to clean than clear plastic.
  • - DOUBLE GLAZING – Optional extra - * for improved Heat & Sound Insulation. ( see options below )
  • Floor Bearers - 70mm x 70mm Pressure treated floor bearers that sit underneath the log cabin to protect its foundations from damage by insects and fungal decay. Without pressure treated bearers moisture would damage the lower aspects of the cabin!
  • Roof Beams - Heavy duty 140mm x 45mm to prevent 'sagging'.
  • All wood is planed, pre-cut (with the exception of trims), and pre-notched for quick and easy construction. Click here to see how easy it is!
  • After simple assembly windows slot into place. Minor adjustments will have to be carried out on windows well within the scope of a competent DIYer.
  • French Door is provided in 6 assembled pieces that fit together then slot into place.
  • We supply you with all nails and screws needed for the assembly of your log cabin.
