The Rhine 3 Vantage has large glazed windows, sturdy French doors and comes supplied with door and window shutters, timber flower boxes and a decorative bay window for that extra homely touch. Strong interlocking log walls and a thoroughly inviting exterior combine to make this the most headache-free yet gratifying way to expand your home.

The Rhine 3 45 Vantage log cabin has a unique design with its attractive bay window and decorative flower boxes. The flower box really lets you make a feature of your beautiful log cabin with some lovely flowers growing outside the front of it. The shutters on the windows and doors add an element of privacy and provide you with the perfect cabin for use as a relaxing summerhouse or garden office. Its 45mm walls give you more insulation than the 28mm version, and there is plenty of interior space to accommodate the different needs and requirements of your family.

The Rhine 3 45 Vantage Log Cabin Kit comes with a Flower Box, French door with shutters, one front window with shutters and a unique bay window with shutters. All shutters are fitted to the inside of the log cabin as the windows and doors all open outwards. Add extra doors for better access or extra windows for a brighter airier feel inside your log cabin.

The optional 1.5m veranda provides you with the ideal space outside your cabin for an outdoor dining area, or somewhere to relax out in the fresh air.

For your Log Cabin we recommend a solid concrete base to footprint size plus 100mm all the way round, for example:

• A Rhine 4m x 3m would need a base approximately 4200mm wide x 3200mm deep.
  
• For a Rhine 4m x 3m plus 1.5m veranda the base would need to be approximately 4200mm wide x 4700mm deep.
  
• For a 9m x 3m Tamar Grande the base would need to be approximately 9200mm wide x 3200mm deep.
  
• These sizes are the minimum sized base needed for these particular cabins.
  

Standard Rhine 3 45 Vantage Specification:

EXTERNAL SIZE 4m (13'2") wide x 3m (9'10") deep (approx).

INTERNAL SIZE 3.77m (12'5") wide x 2.77m (9'1") deep (approx)

WALLS 45mm double tongue and groove walls with bevelled notches and attractive chamfered ends.

FLOOR 19mm tongue and groove floor boards to give a sturdy floor with an attractive finish.

ROOF 19mm tongue and groove roof boards to give a sturdy roof and attractive ceiling.

 

Note: We only use tongue and groove timbers for our floor and roof not OSB sheet timber! (We only use MFP board on top of roof insulation, which will usually not be seen as it will have a roof covering over it).

INTERNAL EAVES 2000mm (6'6") (approx) High, the lowest point inside providing you with plenty of interior space (and no worries about knocking your head!)

CANOPY 1.1m (3'6") (approx.) deep canopy that gives you some protection from the elements.

FRENCH DOOR Made with rebated door panels (for an attractive look) and fitted with a secure lock. The French Door is provided in 6 assembled pieces that fit together and then slot into place.

BI-FOLDING DOOR SHUTTERS give your cabin added privacy! As the doors fold it means that they take up less room as you are opening them and do not cause conflict with the window shutters if they are also open. Shutters are fitted to the inside of the log cabin as its doors open outwards.

WINDOW Made with glass, not Perspex. We use glass because it is clearer and a lot easier to clean than clear plastic.

DOUBLE GLAZING Optional extra - * for improved Heat & Sound Insulation. ( see options below )

BAY WINDOW makes a unique and attractive feature that also gives you a window sill on the inside of your cabin the perfect place for a vase of flowers or a little plant.

WINDOW SHUTTERS - Add an element of privacy to your log cabin. Shutters are fitted to the inside of the cabin as the window opens outwards. (Please Note: Shutters do not fully fold back).

FLOWER BOX Situated under the window at the side of the cabin. Allows you to add some decorative flowers outside your cabin to create an even more beautiful feature in your garden.

FLOOR BEARERS 70mm x 70mm Pressure treated floor bearers that sit underneath the log cabin so that everything in direct contact with the ground is protected against fungal decay and insect damage. Moisture would damage the lower parts of your cabin if it was not sat on pressure treated bearers!

ROOF BEAMS Heavy duty 140mm x 45mm to prevent 'sagging'.

All wood is planed, pre-cut (with the exception of trims), and pre-notched for quick and simple erection. Click here to see how easy it is!

After simple assembly windows slot into place. Minor adjustments will have to be carried out on windows well within the scope of a competent DIYer.
