Take a look at the story of how our log cabins are manufactured.
Standard Rhine 3 45 Vantage+ Specification:
- External Size - 4m (13'2") wide x 3m (9'10") deep (approx).
- Internal Size - 3.77m (12'5") wide x 2.77m (9'1") deep (approx)
- Walls - 45mm double tongue and groove wall logs with bevelled notches and attractive chamfered ends.
- Floor - 19mm tongue and groove floor boards to give a sturdy floor with an attractive finish.
- Floor insulation - 25mm foil backed polyurethane board that sits underneath the floor boards.
- Roof - 19mm tongue and groove roof boards to give a sturdy roof and attractive ceiling.
- Roof insulation - made with 50mm polyurethane, goes on top of the roof boards to create a cabin with an over all roof thickness of approximately 80mm.
Note: We only use tongue and groove timbers for our floor and roof not OSB sheet timber! (We only use MFP board on top of roof insulation, which will usually not be seen as it will have a roof covering over it).
- Internal Eaves - 2000mm (6'6") (approx) High, this is the lowest point inside giving lots of internal space (it also means you won't bang your head!)
- Canopy - 1.1m (3'6") (approx.) deep canopy that provides some protection from the elements.
- French Door - Made with rebated door panels (for a more attractive and professional looking finish) and fitted with a secure lock.
- Bi-folding door shutters - Add privacy to your cabin. The fold in the doors mean that they take up less room as you are opening them and do not obstruct or come into contact with the window. As the doors open outwards, the shutters are inside the log cabin.
- Window at front.
- Bay window at side - A unique and attractive feature that also creates a window sill on the inside of your cabin that makes the perfect place for a vase of flowers or a little plant.
- Window shutters - Provide you with more privacy inside your log cabin. Shutters are fitted to the inside of the log cabin as the windows open outwards. (Please Note: Shutters do not fully fold back).
- 14mm TOUGHENED DOUBLE GLAZED sealed units are supplied for you to place in the windows and doors. (onsite glazing required)
- Flower Box - Situated under the window at the front of the log cabin. Creates an attractive feature.
- Floor Bearers - 70mm x 70mm Pressure treated floor bearers that sit underneath the log cabin to protect its foundations against fungal decay and insect damage. Moisture would damage the lower parts of your cabin if it was not sat on pressure treated bearers!
- Roof Beams - Heavy duty 140mm x 45mm to prevent 'sagging'.
- All wood is planed, pre-cut (with the exception of trims), and pre-notched for quick and easy assembly.
