Some things are useful, other things are beautiful but any shabby shed owner knows not everything is both. Well, unstriking storage is yesterday's news because the humble shed's been made redundant by the Rhine 3 45 Storage, an altogether more enticing way to house your garden wares.
The stealth storage unit at the building's rear hides away your wellies, mowers, barrows and bulbs so all that's on show is a highly stylish summer house with gorgeous chalet features and spacious interior. With separate doors for easy entrance to each part of the building this is a fully functional, junk concealing cracker of a cabin whose onus is on providing an experience.
(As opposed to an eye sore.)
The Rhine 3 45 Storage log cabin is an attractive and highly useful log cabin consisting of two separate rooms. Create a summerhouse in one part and use the other as a separate storage room. The Rhine 45 Storage has the possibility of two external doors so that the two different parts of the log cabin can remain completely separated from one another ,and its 45mm walls mean that this log cabin is more insulated than the 28mm version. The dividing wall can be placed inside the log cabin at any point between its front and back wall, enabling you to construct a log cabin that best suits you. The single solid door will need to be cut into the log cabin wall, allowing you to place it where you want. This door can be fitted into either the side walls, back wall or even in the internal dividing wall.
The Rhine 3 45 Storage Log Cabin Kit is supplied with a 28mm dividing wall, a French door, a single solid door, and an opening window at the front.
The optional 1.5m veranda provides you with a great place to relax outdoors either on your own or with friends and family.
Take a look at the story of how our log cabins are manufactured.
For your Log Cabin we recommend a solid concrete base to footprint size plus 100mm all the way round, for example:
- A Rhine 4m x 3m would need a base approximately 4200mm wide x 3200mm deep.
- For a Rhine 4m x 3m plus 1.5m veranda the base would need to be approximately 4200mm wide x 4700mm deep.
- For a 9m x 3m Tamar Grande the base would need to be approximately 9200mm wide x 3200mm deep.
- These sizes are the minimum sized base needed for these particular cabins.
Standard Rhine 3 45 Storage Specification:
- External Size - 4m (13'2") wide x 3m (9'10") deep (approx).
- Internal Size - 3.77m (12'5") wide x 2.77m (9'1") deep (approx).
- 2 Rooms
- Walls - 45mm double tongue and groove interlocking log walls with chamfered ends for an attractive finish.
- Dividing wall - 28mm tongue and groove, can be placed anywhere inside the log cabin parallel with its front and back wall. Minimum width of partition is approximately 1m.
- Floor - 19mm tongue and groove flooring to create a sturdy and attractive floor.
- Roof - 19mm tongue and groove roofing to create a sturdy roof with an attractive ceiling.
Note: We only use tongue and groove timbers for our floor and roof not OSB sheet timber! (We only use MFP board on top of roof insulation, which will usually not be seen as it will have a roof covering over it).
- Internal Eaves - 2000mm (6'6") (approx) High, this is the lowest point inside, giving you plenty of interior space (and you don't have to worry about banging your head!)
- Canopy - 1.1m (3'6") (approx.) deep canopy that gives you a shaded and sheltered area outside the front of your cabin.
- French Door - Made with rebated door panels (for an attractive finish), featuring a secure lock.
- Single solid door - Can be placed in either of the the side walls, the back wall, or even in the internal dividing wall, allowing it to be placed where best suits you. This means that the door will need to be cut into the cabin in your required position.
- 1 Window - Made with glass, not Perspex as glass is clearer and a lot easier to clean than plastic.
- - DOUBLE GLAZING – Optional extra - * for improved Heat & Sound Insulation. ( see options below )
- Floor Bearers - 70mm x 70mm Pressure treated floor bearers that the log cabin sits on so that everything in direct contact with the ground is resistant to fungal decay and insect damage.
- Roof Beams - Heavy duty 140mm x 45mm to prevent 'sagging'.
- All wood is planed, pre-cut (with the exception of trims), and pre-notched for quick and easy construction.
