Welcome to the Rhine 4. This is 4m by 4m of pure, screaming pleasure! Don't believe me, well, picture the following, if you're into horror movies and own a projector, then you can paint one wall white and project your horror movie onto it! Though why horror movies give anyone pleasure is always a mystery to me. Me, I prefer a good comedy, something that doesn't require me to hide behind a sofa (aged 29) scared out of my mind and afraid to walk back to the house!
The Rhine 4 28 is a spacious log cabin building that makes it suitable for a wide number of uses. As well as a home cinema room it is perfect for use as a home office, or private gym and there's plenty of room inside to fit a spa pool and changing area.
The Rhine 4 28 Log Cabin Kit is supplied with a French door and one opening window at the front, for ease of access when moving items into and out of the cabin, and to let in plenty of sunlight. Additional windows and doors are available to add extra light and ventilation inside your log cabin.
An optional 1.5m veranda is available to enable you to create the perfect area to either relax out in the sun or in the shade underneath your log cabin's canopy.
Take a look at the story of how our log cabins are manufactured.
For your Log Cabin we recommend a solid concrete base to footprint size plus 100mm all the way round, for example:
- A Rhine 4m x 3m would need a base approximately 4200mm wide x 3200mm deep.
- For a Rhine 4m x 3m plus 1.5m veranda the base would need to be approximately 4200mm wide x 4700mm deep.
- For a 9m x 3m Tamar Grande the base would need to be approximately 9200mm wide x 3200mm deep.
- These sizes are the minimum sized base needed for these particular cabins.
Standard Rhine 4 28 Specification:
- External Size - 4m (13'2") wide x 4m (13'2") deep (approx).
- Internal Size - 3.8m (12'6") wide x 3.8m (12'6") deep (approx).
- Walls - 28mm tongue and groove walls with bevelled notches for easy construction, a better seal compared to straight cut notches, and a rather attractive finish.
- Floor - 19mm tongue and groove flooring for an attractive sturdy floor.
- Roof - 19mm tongue and groove roof boards to create an attractive sturdy roof.
Note: We only use tongue and groove timbers for our floor and roof not OSB sheet timber! (We only use MFP board on top of roof insulation, which will usually not be seen as it will have a roof covering over it).
- Internal Eaves - 2000mm (6'6") (approx) High, the lowest point inside, giving plenty of interior space (and no worries about banging your head!)
- Canopy - 1.1m (3'6") (approx.) deep canopy at the front of the cabin. Provides an element of shelter and shade.
- French Door - Made with rebated door panels (to give a more attractive appearance) and fitted with a secure lock.
- 1 Window - Made with glass, not Perspex. We use glass as it is clearer and much easier to clean than clear plastic.
- - DOUBLE GLAZING – Optional extra - * for improved Heat & Sound Insulation. ( see options below )
- Floor Bearers - 70mm x 70mm Pressure treated floor bearers that sit underneath the log cabin to protect its foundations from damage by insects and fungal decay. Without pressure treated bearers moisture would damage the lower aspects of the cabin!
- Roof Beams - Heavy duty 140mm x 45mm to prevent 'sagging'.
- All wood is planed, pre-cut (with the exception of trims), and pre-notched for quick and easy construction.
