The Rhine 4 45 is the perfect size to cater for various needs and uses with plenty of room inside to build your own games room. Its 45mm walls give more insulation compared to the 28mm version which creates the ideal room for working from home.

The Rhine 4 45 Log Cabin Kit is supplied with a French door and one opening window at the front, for easy access when moving items in and out of your cabin, and to let in plenty of natural light. Additional windows and doors are available to let more light and ventilation into your log cabin.

The option of a 1.5m veranda allows you to create the ideal space at the front of your log cabin for dining outdoors or relaxing with friends on warm summer evenings.

For your Log Cabin we recommend a solid concrete base to footprint size plus 100mm all the way round, for example:

• A Rhine 4m x 3m would need a base approximately 4200mm wide x 3200mm deep.
  
• For a Rhine 4m x 3m plus 1.5m veranda the base would need to be approximately 4200mm wide x 4700mm deep.
  
• For a 9m x 3m Tamar Grande the base would need to be approximately 9200mm wide x 3200mm deep.
  
• These sizes are the minimum sized base needed for these particular cabins.
  

Standard Rhine 4 45 Specification:

• External Size - 4m (13'2") wide x 4m (13'2") deep (approx).
• Internal Size - 3.77m (12'5") wide x 3.77m (12'5") deep (approx)
• Walls - 45mm double tongue and groove interlocking log walls with bevelled notches for easy assembly, and chamfered ends for an attractive finish.
• Floor - 19mm tongue and groove floor boards for a sturdy and attractive floor.
• Roof - 19mm tongue and groove roofing timbers to give a sturdy and attractive roof.
  

 

Note: We only use tongue and groove timbers for our floor and roof not OSB sheet timber! (We only use MFP board on top of roof insulation, which will usually not be seen as it will have a roof covering over it).

• Internal Eaves - 2000mm (6'6") (approx) High, the lowest point inside, giving plenty of interior space (and means you won't bang your head!)
• Canopy - 1.1m (3'6") (approx.) deep canopy at the front of the cabin. Great for providing some shelter and shade from the sun.
• French Door - Made with rebated door panels (for a more attractive appearance) and feature a secure lock.
• 1 Window - Made with glass, not Perspex. We use glass as it is clearer and does not scratch as easy as clear plastic when cleaning it.
• - DOUBLE GLAZING – Optional extra - * for improved Heat & Sound Insulation. ( see options below )
• Floor Bearers - 70mm x 70mm Pressure treated floor bearers that sit underneath the log cabin so that everything in contact with the ground is treated to protect it against decay and insect infestation. Without pressure treated bearers moisture would damage the lower aspects of the cabin!
• Roof Beams - Heavy duty 140mm x 45mm to prevent 'sagging'.
• All wood is planed, pre-cut (with the exception of trims), and pre-notched for quick and easy assembly. Click here to see how easy it is!
• After simple assembly windows slot into place. Minor adjustments will have to be carried out on windows well within the scope of a competent DIYer.
• French Door is provided in 6 assembled pieces that fit together and then simply slot into place.
• We supply all nails and screws that you need to assemble your log cabin.
