If you've ever wished you could just pack your bags and leave then the Rhine 4 28 Vantage is the place to escape to.
Simply stock it with cushions, desert island discs and your favourite memorabilia. Breathe deeply, Ah!… and feel your troubles pale into insignificance as you take in the riches before you.
Now, aren't you glad you're only half a minute from home?
The Rhine 4 28 Vantage is a spacious log cabin building that makes it suitable for a variety of different uses. It is the ideal size for a home office, and the shutters on the window and doors allow you to easily shut yourself away from distractions whilst you are working. Alternatively, you can create your own private gym or spa room and changing area in complete privacy. The flower box enables you to add a bright and colourful finishing touch and decorate the outside of your cabin with beautiful flowers, whilst the bay window makes an attractive feature.
The Rhine 4 28 Vantage Log Cabin Kit is supplied with a French door with shutters, one front window with shutters, one bay window with shutters and a flower box underneath the window at the front. The shutters are fitted to the log cabin's inside as the windows and doors open outwards. Additional windows and doors are available to add extra light and ventilation inside your log cabin.
Add the optional 1.5m veranda to create the ideal space for hosting a BBQ or relaxing outside in your garden with friends and family.
Take a look at the story of how our log cabins are manufactured.
For your Log Cabin we recommend a solid concrete base to footprint size plus 100mm all the way round, for example:
- A Rhine 4m x 3m would need a base approximately 4200mm wide x 3200mm deep.
- For a Rhine 4m x 3m plus 1.5m veranda the base would need to be approximately 4200mm wide x 4700mm deep.
- For a 9m x 3m Tamar Grande the base would need to be approximately 9200mm wide x 3200mm deep.
- These sizes are the minimum sized base needed for these particular cabins.
Standard Rhine 4 28 Vantage Specification:
- External Size - 4m (13'2") wide x 4m (13'2") deep (approx).
- Internal Size - 3.8m (12'6") wide x 3.8m (12'6") deep (approx).
- Walls - 28mm tongue and groove walls with bevelled notches and chamfered ends for ease of construction, and an attractive finish.
- Floor - 19mm tongue and groove floor timbers to give an attractive sturdy floor.
- Roof - 19mm tongue and groove roof timbers to create a sturdy roof with an attractive ceiling.
Note: We only use tongue and groove timbers for our floor and roof not OSB sheet timber! (We only use MFP board on top of roof insulation, which will usually not be seen as it will have a roof covering over it).
- Internal Eaves - 2000mm (6'6") (approx) High, the lowest point inside, giving plenty of interior space (it also means you shouldn't bang your head)
- Canopy - 1.1m (3'6") (approx.) deep canopy at the front of the cabin. Great for giving you shade and shelter outside the front of your cabin.
- French Door - made with rebated door panels (for a more attractive look) and fitted with a secure lock.
- Bi-folding Shutters on Doors - Provide you with an element of privacy. The shutter doors fold which mean that they take up less space when opening them and they do not knock into the window shutters if they are all open. As the doors open utwards, the shutters are fitted to the inside of the log cabin.
- 1 Window at front - Made from glass, not Perspex. We use glass as it is clearer and a lot easier to clean and does not scratch as easy as clear plastic.
- - DOUBLE GLAZING – Optional extra - * for improved Heat & Sound Insulation. ( see options below )
- 1 Bay Window at side - The bay window is a unique and attractive feature that also provides you with an interior window sill that would be the ideal place for a plant or some lovely flowers.
- Window Shutters - Give you an element of privacy inside your log cabin. Shutters are on the inside of the log cabin as the windows open outwards. (Please Note: Shutters do not fully fold back).
- Flower Box situated at the front of the cabin, underneath the window.
- Floor Bearers - 70mm x 70mm Pressure treated floor bearers that sit underneath the log cabin so that everything in direct contact with the ground is protected against insect infestation and fungal decay. Without pressure treated bearers moisture would damage the lower aspects of the cabin!
- Roof Beams - Heavy duty 140mm x 45mm to prevent 'sagging'.
- All wood is planed, pre-cut (with the exception of trims), and pre-notched for rapid. simple erection.
