The Rhine 5 28 Vantage is a good sized cabin to accommodate the needs of you and your family making it a superb and attractive addition to any garden. It is ideal for use as a spa room, hobby area or music room and the shutters on the window and doors give you an added element of privacy so you can create your own private retreat in the comfort of your garden. The flower box makes a decorative and attractive feature, allowing you to add a beautiful finishing touch of colourful flowers outside the front of your cabin. The unique design of this cabin also gives you the attractive feature of a bay window.
The Rhine 5 28 Vantage Log Cabin Kit is supplied with a Flower Box, French door with shutters, one front window with shutters, and one bay window with shutters. Additional windows and doors are available to create a brighter log cabin with added ventilation.
Add the optional 1.5m veranda to create the ideal space for enjoying being out in your garden. Relax out in the sun or rest under the shade of the log cabin canopy.

For your Log Cabin we recommend a solid concrete base to footprint size plus 100mm all the way round, for example:
- A Rhine 4m x 3m would need a base approximately 4200mm wide x 3200mm deep.
- For a Rhine 4m x 3m plus 1.5m veranda the base would need to be approximately 4200mm wide x 4700mm deep.
- For a 9m x 3m Tamar Grande the base would need to be approximately 9200mm wide x 3200mm deep.
- These sizes are the minimum sized base needed for these particular cabins.
Standard Rhine 5 28 Vantage Specification:
- External Size - 4m (13'2") wide x 5m (16'5") deep (approx).
- Internal Size - 3.8m (12'6") wide x 4.8m (15'9") deep (approx).
- Walls - 28mm tongue and groove walls featuring bevelled notches with chamfered ends to give a better seal than straight cut notches and an attractive finish.
- Floor - 19mm tongue and groove flooring for an attractive and sturdy floor.
- Roof - 19mm tongue and groove roof boards for an attractive and sturdy roof.
Note: We only use tongue and groove timbers for our floor and roof not OSB sheet timber! (We only use MFP board on top of roof insulation, which will usually not be seen as it will have a roof covering over it).
- Internal Eaves - 2000mm (6'6") (approx) High, the lowest point inside, this gives you lots of internal space and also means you won't bang your head
- Canopy - 1.1m (3'6") (approx.) deep canopy creating a sheltered and shaded area to the front of your log cabin.
- French Door - Made with rebated door panels (for a more attractive finish) and featuring a secure lock.
- Bi-folding Door Shutters - Give you added privacy inside your log cabin. The fold in the shutter doors mean that they take up less space when opening them and they will not cause conflict with the window shutters if they are also open. Shutters are located on the inside of the cabin as the doors open outwards.
- 1 Window - Made with glass, not Perspex. We use glass as it is clearer and much easier to clean than clear plastic.
- - DOUBLE GLAZING – Optional extra - * for improved Heat & Sound Insulation. ( see options below )
- 1 Bay Window at side - Makes a unique and attractive feature that also gives you a window sill on the inside of your cabin.
- Window Shutters - For added privacy. As the windows open outwards, shutters are fitted to the inside of the cabin. (Please Note: Window shutters do not fold back fully)
- Flower Box - situated underneath the window at the front of the log cabin.
- Floor Bearers - 70mm x 70mm Pressure treated floor bearers that sit underneath the log cabin to ensure that everything in direct contact with the ground is resistant to fungal decay and damage by insects. Moisture would damage the lower aspects of the cabin if it did not sit on pressure treated bearers
- Roof Beams - Heavy duty 140mm x 45mm to prevent 'sagging'.
- All wood is planed, pre-cut (with the exception of trims), and pre-notched for quick and easy construction.

- After simple assembly windows slot into place. Minor adjustments will have to be carried out on windows well within the scope of a competent DIYer.
