Do you struggle in the love department? Are black satin sheets and mirrored ceilings your idea of romance? If subtlety isn't your strong point stay single no more, because the Rhine 5 log cabin is your best judged shot at caring and conquering courtship.
What potential partner could resist the lure of balmy evenings spent gazing at the stars from a sheepskin rug in your candlelit log cabin?
Toast crumpets on your gas stove, put the champagne on ice and play meaningful, mellow music as they open up to you about hopes, dreams and insensitive exes who were only ever interested in one thing.
Okay, we didn't say this was going to be easy.
The Rhine 5 45 is a very attractive and useful Log Cabin with plenty of space inside for a wide number of uses. Its 45mm walls provide you with more insulation than the 28mm version making it the ideal log cabin for use as a home office, music room, or garden party room.
The Rhine 5 45 Log Cabin Kit is supplied with a French door that gives easy access for moving items in and out of your log cabin and one opening window at the front that lets in plenty of light and ventilation. Add extra doors for better access or extra windows for a brighter airier feel inside your log cabin.
An optional 1.5m veranda is available that makes the perfect area of relaxation outside the front of your log cabin. Laze out in the sun or relax in the shade under the canopy of your log cabin.
Take a look at the story of how our log cabins are manufactured.
For your Log Cabin we recommend a solid concrete base to footprint size plus 100mm all the way round, for example:
- A Rhine 4m x 3m would need a base approximately 4200mm wide x 3200mm deep.
- For a Rhine 4m x 3m plus 1.5m veranda the base would need to be approximately 4200mm wide x 4700mm deep.
- For a 9m x 3m Tamar Grande the base would need to be approximately 9200mm wide x 3200mm deep.
- These sizes are the minimum sized base needed for these particular cabins.
Standard Rhine 5 45 Specification:
- External Size - 4m (13'2") wide x 5m (16'5") deep (approx).
- Internal Size - 3.77m (12'5") wide x 4.77m (15'8") deep (approx)
- Walls - 45mm double tongue and groove walls with bevelled notches that give a better seal than straight cut notches.
- Floor - 19mm tongue and groove flooring to give a sturdy and attractive floor.
- Roof - 19mm tongue and groove roofing to create a sturdy roof with an attractive finish.
Note: We only use tongue and groove timbers for our floor and roof not OSB sheet timber! (We only use MFP board on top of roof insulation, which will usually not be seen as it will have a roof covering over it).
- Internal Eaves - 2000mm (6'6") (approx) High, the lowest point inside, giving plenty of interior space (preventing you from banging your head!)
- Canopy - 1.1m (3'6") (approx.) deep canopy that creates a an area of shade and shelter at the front of your log cabin.
- French Door - Made with rebated door panels (to give a more attractive appearance) and fitted with a secure lock.
- 1 Window - Made with glass, not Perspex as glass is clearer and a lot easier to clean than plastic.
- - DOUBLE GLAZING – Optional extra - * for improved Heat & Sound Insulation. ( see options below )
- Floor Bearers - 70mm x 70mm Pressure treated floor bearers that sit under the log cabin to protect its foundations from rot and insect infestation. If your cabin was not sited on pressure treated bearers the lower aspects would be more vulnerable to damage!
- Roof Beams - Heavy duty 140mm x 45mm to prevent 'sagging'.
- All wood is planed, pre-cut (with the exception of trims), and pre-notched for quick and simple construction.
