The Severn^® 4 28 Vantage Log Cabin is a very attractive and practical garden building. Its generous sizing and wide french doors give you the ideal extra space in your home for plenty of different uses. There is even enough room inside to fit a pool table to build up your own games room.

The unique design of the Severn^® 4 28 Vantage gives you an attractive bay window at the side of your cabin and two decorative flower boxes underneath the windows at the front, making it a superb feature in any garden. The window and door shutters add an element of privacy to your log cabin, making it the ideal space for a personal home office where you can block out distraction or a relaxing retreat with increased privacy.

Add the optional 1.5m decking to create the perfect space for dining outdoors in the fresh air or relaxing out in the sun.

For your Log Cabin we recommend a solid concrete base to footprint size plus 100mm all the way round, for example:

• A Rhine^® 4m x 3m would need a base approximately 4200mm wide x 3200mm deep.
  
• For a Rhine^® 4m x 3m plus 1.5m decking the base would need to be approximately 4200mm wide x 4700mm deep.
  
• For a 9m x 3m Tamar^® Grande the base would need to be approximately 9200mm wide x 3200mm deep.
  
• These sizes are the minimum sized base needed for these particular cabins.
  

Standard Severn® 4 28 Vantage Specification:

EXTERNAL SIZE 5m (16'5") wide x 4m (13'2") deep (approx).

RIDGE HEIGHT - 2.5m or 2.7m. Cabin can be assembled to accommodate both heights.

INTERNAL SIZE 4.8m (15'9") wide x 3.8m (12'6") deep (approx).

WALLS 28mm tongue and groove walls with bevelled notches that give an attractive finish with better seal compared to straight cut notches.

FLOOR 19mm tongue and groove flooring for an attractive and sturdy floor.

ROOF 19mm tongue and groove roof boards for an attractive and sturdy roof.

 

Note: We only use tongue and groove timbers for our floor and roof not OSB sheet timber! (We only use MFP board on top of roof insulation, which will usually not be seen as it will have a roof covering over it).

INTERNAL EAVES 2010mm (6'6") (approx) High when assembled at the Taller Height and 1900mm (6'2") (approx) when assembled at the Lower Height. These measurements are the lowest point inside the cabin, giving plenty of interior space (this means you won't bang your head!)

CANOPY 1.1m (3'6") (approx.) deep canopy that gives you some shade and protection from the elements.

FRENCH DOOR - Made with rebated door panels (for a more attractive appearance) and fitted with a secure lock. The French Door is provided as 6 assembled pieces that fit together then slot into place.

BI-FOLDING DOOR SHUTTERS give you added privacy inside your log cabin. The fold in the shutter doors mean that they take up less space when opening them and they will not cause conflict with the window shutters if they are also open. Shutters are located on the inside of the cabin as the doors open outwards.

2 WINDOWS Made with glass, not Perspex. We use glass as it is clearer and much easier to clean than clear plastic.

BAY WINDOW makes a unique and attractive feature that also gives you a window sill on the inside of your cabin.

DOUBLE GLAZING Optional extra - * for improved Heat & Sound Insulation. ( see options below )

WINDOW SHUTTERS - Add an element of privacy to your log cabin. Shutters are fitted to the inside of the cabin as the window opens outwards. (Please Note: Shutters do not fully fold back).

2 FLOWER BOXES situated under the window at the side of the cabin. Allows you to add some decorative flowers outside your cabin to create an even more beautiful feature in your garden.

FLOOR BEARERS 70mm x 70mm Pressure treated floor bearers that sit underneath the log cabin to ensure that everything in direct contact with the ground is resistant to fungal decay and damage by insects. Moisture would damage the lower aspects of the cabin if it did not sit on pressure treated bearers

ROOF BEAMS Heavy duty 140mm x 45mm to prevent 'sagging'.

All wood is planed, pre-cut (with the exception of trims), and pre-notched for quick and easy construction. Click here to see how easy it is!

After simple assembly windows slot into place. Minor adjustments will have to be carried out on windows well within the scope of a competent DIYer.

All nails and screws needed to erect your log cabin are supplied.
