The Severn^® 4 Storage log cabin is split into two rooms so that you can have that summerhouse you've always wanted and still have space for a separate storage area. A highly attractive and practical garden building, the Severn^® Storage is designed for you to create a cabin to suit your needs and requirements. There is no set position for the 28mm dividing wall so how you split the space inside your cabin into the two rooms is entirely up to you. There is also the possibility of having two external doors so that the two parts of the log cabin can be kept completely separate from one another. The single solid door will need to be cut into the log cabin wall, allowing you to place it where you want. This door can be fitted into either the side walls, back wall or even in the internal dividing wall.

The Severn^® 4 28 Storage Log Cabin Kit is supplied with a 28mm dividing wall, a French door, a single solid door, and two opening windows at the front.

For your Log Cabin we recommend a solid concrete base to footprint size plus 100mm all the way round, for example:

• A Rhine^® 4m x 3m would need a base approximately 4200mm wide x 3200mm deep.
  
• For a Rhine^® 4m x 3m plus 1.5m decking the base would need to be approximately 4200mm wide x 4700mm deep.
  
• For a 9m x 3m Tamar^® Grande the base would need to be approximately 9200mm wide x 3200mm deep.
  
• These sizes are the minimum sized base needed for these particular cabins.
  

Standard Severn® 4 28 Storage Specification:

EXTERNAL SIZE 5m (16'5") wide x 4m (13'2") deep (approx).

RIDGE HEIGHT - 2.5m or 2.7m. Cabin can be assembled to accommodate both heights.

OVERALL INTERNAL SIZE 4.8m (15'9") wide x 3.8 (12'6") deep (approx).

2 ROOMS

WALLS 28mm interlocking log walls with chamfered ends for an attractive finish.

DIVIDING WALL 28mm tongue and groove, can be positioned inside the log cabin anywhere between its front and back wall. Minimum width of partition is approximately 1m.

FLOOR 19mm tongue and groove floor boards for a sturdy and attractive floor.

ROOF 19mm tongue and groove roof boards for a sturdy roof with an attractive finish.

 

Note: We only use tongue and groove timbers for our floor and roof not OSB sheet timber! (We only use MFP board on top of roof insulation, which will usually not be seen as it will have a roof covering over it).

INTERNAL EAVES 2010mm (6'6") (approx) High when assembled at the Taller Height and 1900mm (6'2") (approx) when assembled at the Lower Height. These measurements are the lowest point inside the cabin, giving plenty of interior space (this means you won't bang your head!)

CANOPY 1.1m (3'6") (approx.) deep canopy that creates an area of shade and shelter at the front of your log cabin.

FRENCH DOOR Made with rebated door panels (for an attractive finish) and fitted with a secure lock. The French Door is provided as 6 assembled pieces that fit together then slot into place.

SINGLE SOLID DOOR will need to be cut into the log cabin wall wherever suits your needs. Can be fitted in either side wall, the back wall, or even used as an internal door.

2 WINDOWS made with glass, not Perspex as glass is clearer and a lot easier to clean than plastic.

DOUBLE GLAZING Optional extra - * for improved Heat & Sound Insulation. ( see options below )

FLOOR BEARERS 70mm x 70mm Pressure treated floor bearers that sit underneath the log cabin to protect its foundations from fungal decay and damage from insects and moisture.

ROOF BEAMS Heavy duty 140mm x 45mm to prevent 'sagging'.

All wood is planed, pre-cut (with the exception of trims), and pre-notched for quick and easy construction. Click here to see how easy it is!

After simple assembly windows slot into place. Minor adjustments will have to be carried out on windows well within the scope of a competent DIYer.

We supply all nails and screws that you will need to construct your log cabin.
