The dual wall log cabin, with its double wall, really is something special. It is made up of a 28mm external wall and a 28mm internal wall with 70mm Polyurethane insulation between them.

The Avon 3 Grande Dual Wall log cabin kit is supplied with a french door and three opening windows that let in plenty of natural sunlight and fresh outdoor air. The Internal double door will need to be cut into the wall of the log cabin to enable you to position it to suit your requirements.

For your Log Cabin we recommend a solid concrete base to footprint size plus 100mm all the way round, for example:

• A Rhine 4m x 3m would need a base approximately 4200mm wide x 3200mm deep.
  
• For a Rhine 4m x 3m plus 1.5m veranda the base would need to be approximately 4200mm wide x 4700mm deep.
  
• For a 9m x 3m Tamar Grande the base would need to be approximately 9200mm wide x 3200mm deep.
  
• These sizes are the minimum sized base needed for these particular cabins.

130mm INSULATED WALLS The dual wall log cabin has a 28mm external wall and a 28mm internal wall with 70mm polyurethane insulation between them. The insulation is foil backed to reflect and retain heat.

FLOOR floor boards for a sturdy attractive floor.

ROOF 19mm tongue and groove roof timbers to create a sturdy roof with attractive ceiling.

 

Note: We only use tongue and groove timbers for our floor and roof not OSB sheet timber! (We only use MFP board on top of roof insulation, which will usually not be seen as it will have a roof covering over it).

INTERNAL EAVES 2050mm (6'7") (approx) High, the lowest point inside, giving plenty of interior space (this means you won't bang your head!)

CANOPY 1.1m (3'6") (approx.) deep canopy providing an element of shade and shelter from the weather.

FRENCH DOOR Made with rebated door panels (for a more attractive appearance) and fitted with a secure lock. The French Doors are provided in 6 assembled pieces that fit together then slot into place.

INTERNAL DOUBLE DOOR - To be cut in at your desired position along the dividing wall.

WALK THROUGH HEIGHT 1650mm

3 WINDOW Made with glass, not Perspex. We use glass as it is clearer and much easier to clean than clear plastic.

DOUBLE GLAZING Optional extra - * for improved Heat & Sound Insulation. ( see options below )

FLOOR BEARERS 70mm x 70mm Pressure treated floor bearers that are resistant to rot and insect infestation. Without pressure treated bearers moisture would damage the lower parts of the cabin!

ROOF BEAMS Heavy duty 140mm x 45mm to prevent 'sagging'.

All wood is planed, pre-cut (with the exception of trims), and pre-notched for quick and easy construction. Click here to see how easy it is!

After simple assembly windows slot into place. Minor adjustments will have to be carried out on windows well within the scope of a competent DIYer.

All nails and screws needed to erect your log cabin will be supplied.
