What would you do with an Avon 3 28 Grande Vantage?

A quick poll ‘round the office gave us home spa, somewhere to entertain the ladies, DJ booth, kids TV room, nail/beauty studio and traditional dining-come- summerhouse. We found the question to be an amazing conversation starter, which made us realise there’s just something about private space that makes excitement simmer, imaginations race and buried dreams come to life.

…Okay, so we don't get out much.

Take a look at the story of how our log cabins are manufactured.

For your Log Cabin we recommend a solid concrete base to footprint size plus 100mm all the way round, for example:

• A Rhine 4m x 3m would need a base approximately 4200mm wide x 3200mm deep.
  
• For a Rhine 4m x 3m plus 1.5m veranda the base would need to be approximately 4200mm wide x 4700mm deep.
  
• For a 9m x 3m Tamar Grande the base would need to be approximately 9200mm wide x 3200mm deep.
  
• These sizes are the minimum sized base needed for these particular cabins.
  

Standard Avon 3 28 Grande VANTAGE Specification:

EXTERNAL SIZE 3m (9'10") wide x 7m (23') deep (approx).

INTERNAL SIZE Room 1: 2.8m (9'2") wide x 2.8m (9'2") deep, Room 2: 2.8m (9'2") wide x 3.8m (12'6") deep (approx).

2 ROOMS

WALLS 28mm tongue and groove walls with bevelled notches for easy assembly and a better seal compared to straight cut notches.

FLOOR 19mm tongue and groove floor boards for a sturdy floor.

ROOF 19mm tongue and groove roof timbers to create a sturdy roof.

 

Note: We only use tongue and groove timbers for our floor and roof not OSB sheet timber! (We only use MFP board on top of roof insulation, which will usually not be seen as it will have a roof covering over it).

INTERNAL EAVES 2010mm (6'6") (approx) High, the lowest point inside, giving plenty of interior space (this means you won't bang your head!)

CANOPY 1.1m (3'6") (approx.) deep canopy. Perfect for shade in the summer and cover from the elements in the winter.

FRENCH DOOR Made with rebated door panels (for a more attractive appearance) and fitted with a secure lock. The French Door is provided in 6 assembled pieces that fit together then slot into place.

DOOR SHUTTERS add privacy when closed and fold so that they take up less space when opening. As doors open outwards the shutters are fitted to the inside of the cabin.

INTERNAL DOUBLE DOOR To be cut in at your desired position along the dividing wall.

WALK THROUGH HEIGHT 1650mm

WINDOW 3 - Made with glass, not Perspex. We use glass as it is clearer and much easier to clean than clear plastic.

DOUBLE GLAZING Optional extra - * for improved Heat & Sound Insulation. ( see options below )

WINDOW SHUTTERS Add an element of privacy to your log cabin. Shutters are fitted to the inside of the cabin as windows open outwards. (Please Note: Shutters do not fully fold back).

FLOWER BOXES for added decoration

FLOOR BEARERS 70mm x 70mm Pressure treated floor bearers that sit underneath the log cabin to protect its foundations from damage by insects and fungal decay. Without pressure treated bearers moisture would damage the lower aspects of the cabin!

ROOF BEAMS Heavy duty 140mm x 45mm to prevent 'sagging'.

All wood is planed, pre-cut (with the exception of trims), and pre-notched for quick and easy construction. Click here to see how easy it is!

After simple assembly windows slot into place. Minor adjustments will have to be carried out on windows well within the scope of a competent DIYer.
