The Avon 4 Grande Storage comes as standard with four opening windows for plenty of light and ventilation, a French door for easy access, an internal double door, a solid single door, and a 28mm dividing wall that creates a third room in your cabin. The design of the Avon 4 Grande Storage allows you to create a cabin that meets your needs and requirements. There is no set position for the 28mm dividing wall so how you split the space inside your cabin is up to you. The double door and single solid door will need to be cut into the log cabin walls, allowing you to place them wherever you want. These doors can be fitted into either the side walls, back wall or in an internal wall.

For your Log Cabin we recommend a solid concrete base to footprint size plus 100mm all the way round, for example:

• A Rhine 4m x 3m would need a base approximately 4200mm wide x 3200mm deep.
  
• For a Rhine 4m x 3m plus 1.5m veranda the base would need to be approximately 4200mm wide x 4700mm deep.
  
• For a 9m x 3m Tamar Grande the base would need to be approximately 9200mm wide x 3200mm deep.
  
• These sizes are the minimum sized base needed for these particular cabins.
  

Standard Avon 4 28 Storage Grande Specification:

EXTERNAL SIZE 3m (9'10") wide x 8m (26'4") deep (approx).

INTERNAL SIZE Room 1: 2.8m (9'2") wide x 3.8m (12'6") deep, Room 2: 2.8m (9'2") wide x 3.8m (12'6") deep (approx). (Sizes will vary depending on where you position the additional dividing wall to create the third room).

3 ROOMS

WALLS 28mm tongue and groove walls with bevelled notches for easy assembly and a better seal compared to straight cut notches.

DIVIDING WALL 28mm tongue and groove, can be positioned inside the log cabin anywhere between its front and back wall. Minimum width of partition is approximately 1m.

FLOOR 19mm tongue and groove floor boards for a sturdy floor.

ROOF 19mm tongue and groove roof timbers to create a sturdy roof.

 

Note: We only use tongue and groove timbers for our floor and roof not OSB sheet timber! (We only use MFP board on top of roof insulation, which will usually not be seen as it will have a roof covering over it).

INTERNAL EAVES 2010mm (6'6") (approx) High, the lowest point inside, giving plenty of interior space (this means you won't bang your head!)

CANOPY 1.1m (3'6") (approx.) deep canopy. Perfect for shade in the summer and cover from the elements in the winter.

FRENCH DOOR Made with rebated door panels (for a more attractive appearance) and fitted with a secure lock. The French Door is provided in 6 assembled pieces that fit together then slot into place.

INTERNAL DOUBLE DOOR To be cut in at your desired position along the dividing wall.

WALK THROUGH HEIGHT 1650mm

SINGLE SOLID DOOR Will need to be cut into the log cabin wall wherever suits your needs. Can be fitted in either the side wall, the back wall, or even used as an internal door.

4 WINDOWS Made with glass, not Perspex. We use glass as it is clearer and much easier to clean than clear plastic.

DOUBLE GLAZING Optional extra - * for improved Heat & Sound Insulation. ( see options below )

FLOOR BEARERS 70mm x 70mm Pressure treated floor bearers that sit underneath the log cabin to protect its foundations from damage by insects and fungal decay. Without pressure treated bearers moisture would damage the lower aspects of the cabin!

ROOF BEAMS Heavy duty 140mm x 45mm to prevent 'sagging'.

All wood is planed, pre-cut (with the exception of trims), and pre-notched for quick and easy construction. Click here to see how easy it is!

After simple assembly windows slot into place. Minor adjustments will have to be carried out on windows well within the scope of a competent DIYer.
